Watch: Through a Glass Darkly (1961) Synopsis: This award-winning film, written and directed by Ingmar Bergman, portrays a family devastated by schizophrenia.  In our discussion, we will examine the film from the perspective of C.G. Jung’s ideas about schizophrenia, with particular attention paid to the archetypes of the Self, the shadow, the anima, incest, and mother/father dynamics. 
Followed by: Michael Escamilla, MD, a Jungian analyst and professor of psychiatry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. He received his diploma in analytical psychology from the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich and has more than 20 years of experience as a clinician and an educator.
